Kia has announced it has signed on as the official sponsor of the new Telemundo web series titled “El Maestro: Unplugged.”
The series features Latin Grammy award-winner Luis Enrique as he follows three up-and-coming artists throughout the course of ten episodes, offering them advice on how to achieve success in the cutthroat music industry.
Each episode will focus on an artist discussing their dreams of making it in the industry while taking inspirational rides in the 2015 Kia Soul. Enrique’s daily ride, meanwhile, will be the brand new 2015 Kia Sorento.
“Kia’s U.S. marketing initiatives are focused on raising consumer perception and awareness around the brand,” said Tim Chaney, VP of marketing communications, “and with Hispanics over-indexing on online video consumption, we felt that sponsoring ‘El Maestro’ offered a tremendous opportunity to communicate and interact with the Hispanic community in authentic and meaningful ways.”
As part of the sponsorship, Telemundo will make weekly social posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that highlight the Kia brand. The way we see it, the more people aware of how awesome our cars are at Bill Walsh Kia, the better!
