Ottawa, Illinois, hosts several events and activities for kids of all ages, including fall events. That’s why we at Bill Walsh Kia have compiled a list of some of our favorite upcoming Ottawa fall events that you should consider attending. From festivals to learning groups, there’s something for everyone.
For those interested in learning something new, consider stopping by the local library on Saturdays. You can learn Mandarin Chinese at the Reddick Public Library, or you can hang out with the Loop Group—a space to knit and crochet on the weekends. According to Pick Us Ottawa, these are reoccurring events, so mark your calendars.
Another reoccurring event is the parkrun on 9 a.m. on Saturdays. This is one of the largest running events in the area, though you can also jog and walk the course. There is a free, timed 5K that follows the Harbor Wall Trail.
The final Summer Concert Series at Washington Park will be held on Sept. 15, and features the band Crash; the concert will start at 7 p.m.
Next, check out Ottawa Oktoberfest from Sept. 22-23. Celebrating the fall harvest, Oktoberfest traditionally has German food and drinks, including beer. You can select from over 10 different styles of beers at the festival, as well as a range of brats and other dishes. There’s even a 5K Beer Run/Walk.
With a new car like a Kia Soul or Sorento from Bill Walsh Kia, you’ll have easy access to many of these events. Start exploring the Ottawa community today.
